I AM A DRONE PILOT FOR PHOTOGRAPHY and VIDEO.
Thank you for your interest in work with D.P.A. (Drone Pilot Agency). We hire drone pilots on a job to job contract basis nationwide. Whether you're an established pilot with years of experience or newly certified via FAA regulations, we are always seeking qualified pilots.
HOW TO GET STARTED
STEP 1 - Tell us about your drone(s), yourself & experience.
STEP 2 - If you have not already, get certified and register your drone.
- REGISTER YOUR DRONE
- BECOME A CERTIFIED PILOT (required for certain jobs)
STEP 3 - Email us your resume and videos.
Please send us an email to DIRECTOR@DRONEPILOTAGENCY.COM of your drone related resume and a video sample and/or photos of your piloting skills..
STEP 4 - Submit for jobs when they are emailed to you
Job Breakdowns will be emailed to you by your drone agent/broker with any specific directions needed to submit. You should only apply for jobs which you are capable of doing, and fit all the requirements. Additionally, some jobs may or may not fit your financial needs. Simply disregard jobs you are not interested and available for and apply to those that do. .
STEP 5 - Fill out your job agreement link
A specific job agreement link with your rate, dates, terms and conditions will be sent to you prior to starting any job. Upon completion we will release the client's info to you.
STEP 6 - Go to the job
Fly your drone as described in the job agreement link and supply the client the raw footage upon completion of shoot.
QUESTIONS
HOW DO I GET PAID?
Final payment is due from clients upon delivery of footage or service to the client. Pilots are paid as soon as that payment clears vial Paypal. Other options may become available in the future. All pilots will be asked for a copy of their government issued ID, FAA certification/registration and a W9 form provided independently to Paypal. NOTE - All contractors will receive a 1099-k form on or before January 31st each year if they made over $600.00 from Paypal
How do I find out about jobs?
Once approved, you will be emailed any jobs (AND ALL DETAILS in your area with directions on how to apply. Not all jobs you receive may be appropriate to you. Some jobs require you to be FAA certified.
How much do you charge?
All rates will be posted on each job we send out. Rates are not negotiable so please only apply for jobs you are willing to work. If there are job changes or additional duties requested, we will renegotiate a fair rate with the client.
If there is a re-shoot, will I be paid?
Yes, re-shoots will be paid for at a prorated rate. However if the footage in the original shoot was not usable, there will be no payment for a re-shoot.
Am I an employee of Drone Pilot Agency?
No, pilots are hired as contractors by our clients. We simply service the job. This is not a full time position. This is part time contractor work. Applications do not guarantee you will be booked.
What are my risks?
Your drone and your time. If you crash your drone, you are accountable for your drone damages and any damages the drone may have caused to any property in the very unlikely scenario.
Sick & Injury
All contractors will need to fill out an addendum in their contracts. All Pilots must follow local laws in the location of their service. Drone Pilot Agency is not accountable for any illness, physical, or mental damage caused to you or by you or as a result in the future.
